INTRODUCTION:

(1.)  The Pool Technician’s Course is the fulfillment of the NZMPB Inc’s desires to introduce a Standard Reference Text for the members of the New Zealand swimming pool trade (be they pool builders, pool shop owners, or service technicians) in the construction and maintenance of residential swimming pools in New Zealand

(2.)  A required minimum B pass in the course will supplement your construction qualifications (or Accepted Level of Prior Experience or ALPE which will be assessed by the NZMPB's License Committee) to count towards your NZMPB Pool Builder's License .

(3.)  If you are an existing Builder Member of the NZMPB Inc at 24 March 2011, you are already qualified in ALPE by having been awarded Builder Member status, and will only need the Diploma to be granted a Certified Builder's License in the Production and Maintenence of residentail swimming pools.

(4.)  The full documentation is available as a free download from our Web Site. The complete course comprises Twelve Papers with one or two addendums – depending on your local Council environment. Should you wish to be assessed for the DIPLOMA, you will have to register. A Course Fee applies.

(5.)  If you prefer a printed copy of the full Diploma Course, this is available by contacting us (here) and we will send you a bound copy. The cost of this is $50.00 inc. post & handling.

(6.)  To have your Papers assessed, download the written exam for each PAPER, which you will send back to us by fax or snail mail. You must be registered and pay the Course Fee for your returned papers to be assessed.
